Cafe Escadrille first opened its doors in 1973 under the ownership of Robert W. Murray, who continues to own and run the restaurant to this day. Cafe Escadrille’s name and spirit were inspired by the Lafayette Escadrille, a squadron of the French Air Service formed in April of 1916, prior to U.S. entry into World War I. The squadron was composed mainly of spirited and daring American volunteer fighter pilots who fought gallantly by day and relished fine food and drink at night. They left behind a legacy of spirited celebration that we honor to this day.

BROTHERS RESTAURANT AND MATTEI'S TAVERN

The brilliant white building sits majestically on sprawling lawns and gardens, on the edge of the small town of Los Olivos. Inside, the tavern can only be described as welcoming – lit fireplaces, cozy dining rooms and enticing aromas from the open kitchen. First built in 1886 as a stagecoach stop, the tavern was owned by generations of the Mattei family. As Felix Mattei said in 1888 “We are first a restaurant, only by sideline a hotel. Our menus are more important than our mattresses. If people want a fancy bedroom for the night, Los Olivos Hotel is for them. If they want the finest food and drink in the valley-in the whole state, by garl, they will come to Mattei's." Infused with history and tall tales that may or may not be true, the tavern is one of the area’s most cherished buildings. Come on in!

Zerodix is a new (opened 3 December 2010) place-to-be in Crans-Montana, which will give the already beautiful town an extra dimension. Zerodix is a stylish location with a mix of Swiss and international elements. Zerodix gives the clients extra possibilities during breakfast and lunch and introduces a new concept: the "Apres-ski deluxe". Zerodix is located next to the telecabine the Cry d'Er in the town centre of Crans. The international outlook of the restaurant, which attracts both the young and the old, has been created with durable and sturdy materials. Zerodix has room for 60 persons within the restaurant and for seating for 120 persons outside on the warm, covered terrace with outside bar. Roger Moore, resident of Switzerland, was present at the opening and welcomed the guests in no less than 4 languages. Afterwards 007 performed the official opening of 010 (the name Zerodix has been derived of the area code 010 of Rotterdam, Netherlands) by revealing a work of art. Zerodix is open from 07.30 until 20.00h, 7 days a week, from December to April and has room for 60 guests on the insde and 120 guests on the terrace with outside bar.
