MUSEE BARDO

Alger > Av. F. D. Roosevelt
This old Turkish style house, located at the end of the Didouche Mourad street, in the Palais du Peuple, is the classic example of fine Turkish houses built on the heights of Algiers. Like the Palace of the Casbah, they are distinguished by the richness of their decoration: colonnades and marble stairways, Italian and Portuguese tiles combined with wood, secret gardens. In the courtyards, which gives a sweet scent of jasmine, sing beautiful fountains. Bardo of the villa houses the Museum of Prehistory and Ethnography, one of the most interesting in Africa.
